Strong desire or concern to do something or for something to happen.

You say you are afraid.
I see in your actions that you are afraid. You are terribly afraid.
I see that you have no control over the fear you feel.
I see that you were never this afraid before, and that hurts me. Because I Love You. I don’t even know you, but I Love You. Because I am You.

I recognize the novelty of fear-based living, it reminds me of a big portion of my life where I have lived with an even bigger amount of fear and uncertainty that lasted for days, months, years…
So I thought maybe I could share a few small ideas with you, to ease your mental strain ignited with an endless amount of fear. Maybe this will inspire you to share a few useful ideas and tips from your experience that have helped you tackle fear, or to escape its power just for a while.
Maybe, with this chain reaction of sharing experiential ideas / tips / lessons, we will create a beautiful imaginary Grid of Protection around all of us, around the planet Earth that we can connect to in any moment. A soft, fluffy, cozy blanket that we can wrap ourselves in every next time when fear takes our breath away.

Lesson 1 – Define what are you afraid of

Fear exponentially grows with our inability to define it. In order for you to be able to diminish its power, you simply need to try to define it.
What exactly are you afraid of?
Can you put it in words? How does it feel? Where in your body do you feel it?

Are you afraid of the unknown? Of the uncertain? Of loss of control? Of needing to make a full stop?
Are you afraid of social distancing? Of being away from your family and friends? Or are you maybe afraid of needing to spend suddenly too much time with your family? Or with yourself? Can you be in peace with your own silence? Are you ready to see, allow, accept and love The You that remains after all distractions and excuses for hiding are taken away from you?

Are you afraid of not knowing how to fully see, embrace, soothe and love the you that you will find after you have made a full stop? Of realizing that who you think you are is not who you actually are?

Are you afraid of not being able to trust?

Are you afraid of getting the virus? Experiencing the physical pain? Getting a fever? Getting sick?…

What scares you the most?
What freezes your body and takes your breath away?

The fears questioned above are just seemingly temporary things. They can happen and they will pass. So then that can’t be the origin, the essence of your biggest fear in this particular situation. Can you dig little bit deeper? Can you reach the very core of what scares your heart the most?

If we would dare to go very far, straight to the root of what you are truly afraid of, could it be death?
Are you afraid of dying? Are you afraid of ceasing to exist?
Are you afraid of not being able to comprehend what that means, or how it looks like, or what it represents? Are you afraid of suddenly realizing that you still didn’t do everything you wanted? Are you afraid that you didn’t get enough time with the people you love? Are you afraid that your story didn’t get to be fully written?

Are you afraid that you didn’t get the chance to live as fully as you should? That you worried way more than you should? That you’ve been prioritizing things that don’t really matter that much?

Do these questions make you wonder and think about how Your Life Story suddenly seems much bigger and much more meaningful to you than you’ve given it credit for ever before?
