The Art of Deconstructing the Illusion of Fear 9/10
Lesson 9 – You are not who you think you are
You are not who you think you are.
Read that again.
Who you think you are is a mere perception of the ego. Who you think you are is your name, your physical body, the things you like, the way you spend your time, your values, preferences, desires, accomplishments…
But do you ever stop and wonder – if all of these things would actually be who You are, what (or better yet, who) is it then that is aware of you thinking that you are any of these things?
There is something / someone beyond the you who thinks you are a product of your name, occupation, family, worldly location, experiences, etc.
Have you ever wondered – what is that? Who is that?
This essence within is so subtle that it can be difficult to detect because it’s never not there.
This awareness within, the observer of “your” life… this is You.
Who you are is a beautiful expression of your divine essence through your human form.
Your higher expression has many labels and names assigned to it by the human mind, so you can recognize it as a Higher Self, or a Soul, Awareness, Infinite Perfection, Divinity, God, Energy…
It doesn’t really matter how you call it, but who you truly are resides in the non-locational space before any word or explanation of it is spoken or thought of.
Who you truly are has no beginning and it has no end. It can’t die. It can’t cease to exit.
As long as you keep avoiding to dive deeper into the realization of Your True Self, you will be more and more identified with who you think you are (but who you actually are not). And that is to the person, the name assigned to the human body, to the human form.
The human body is destined to die, to cease existing. It’s finite and limited.
As long as you identify yourself only with that which will die, there will always be a fear of some kind that it is dealing with. The most dominant fear of all is the fear of death.
Even though this can be rather a complex lesson to wrap your mind around, the point is to give up understanding it from the perspective of the human mind.
So in order to understand it, you should paradoxically stop trying to understand. You should just feel into it for a moment. Feel the Truth of eternal existence of your infinite being.
Place your conscious awareness back onto the awareness itself.
Feel that who You truly Are is just a part of that which you admire while observing the vastness and beauty of the starry sky, or the openness and endlessness of an ocean…Those resonating, inexplicable reflections we connect to while observing something we admire but what we can’t comprehend, they are the pristine instincts of your True Being. They are fractions of the marrow of the infinite divine perfection embedded into your soul. They remind you of who You truly Are. That’s why you feel them so intensely.
You Are that which is aware of the you that is afraid.
You are also the entirety of the experience of the fear: you are the experiencer of the fear, you are the fear itself and you are an escape from it.
You are that which is trying to escape the fear, that which is seeking the place of calm.
You Are the perception of the fear before, beyond and during the process of seeking the calm.
You Are all of it, getting lost in trying to escape from what you illusioned yourself to be while trying to find that which You already Are.
We know this can sound too complicated to be understood, but if you felt even the smallest resonance in any of the words written here, then just surrender to that little, inner whisper of Truth and join us in shining the Light of Love and illuminating the illusion of fear.
Help us help all others who are afraid.
Help us to spread this message.
Help us to acknowledge your fear and show you that we see you were never this afraid before. Help us to show you that your fear hurts us, too. It hurts us because we love you. We don’t even know you, but we love you. Because we are you. We are One.
And maybe that alone is the main Lesson we all are pushed into realizing and learning with this collective experience going on lately?
What if that’s true?
What will you do today to express the integration of that lesson?
How will you share the gift of that realization with the rest of yourself?
